This is a soft black surcharge and above is a complete set of 3 stamps. The four top characters read 中國郵政 Chinese Post, left is the surcharge and to the right 暫作 Temporary Use. Kerr does not show an image of this overprint. Chan shows a further four further 50f surcharges in red and black, whereas Kerr only lists them in red. The appearance of the 50f surcharges is very different from those shown above. |
