  A surcharge overprinted in black on local issue stamps from Chang Chun. The first two characters of the bottom line relate to the surcharge followed by 作妀 re-valued. This is a full set.

The Chang Chun overprint has eight characters and 10f stamps of this local issue frequently carried further surcharges made by post offices in other towns. The top four characters read 中國郵政 Chinese Post, left Temporary Use, right 北東 North East.

Only 8 stamps in total are associated with Nan Cha, there are three different chops used.

 
These stamps have been identified by using Volume II of the Stamp Catalogue of China by Shui-Hon Chan and the four booklet guide The Local Overprinted Stamps of Manchuria 1945-7 by Allen D Kerr (published 1978 and now out of print). Both works are essential for anyone delving seriously into this subject.
