Overprint Proclamation of Labour Service Laws 1 May 1943. This overprint announces the introduction of a new compulsory labour service law, effectively a wartime measure to conscript civilian men between the ages of 21 to 23 into industries where manual labour shortages existed, steelmaking etc. The conscription lasted for 12 months or more in the "Peoples Labour Service Force" controlled by the Minister of Peoples Welfare, YÜ Ching-yÜan. The stamps, overprinted typographically, were the 3f (in red) and 6f (in blue) of the 1936 fourth Regular Issue by the Manchukuo Postal Administration Office, Hsinking. A presentation booklet exists for this issue (see below). Any "specimen" stamps or sheets you may see for this issue are fakes. The overprint consists of characters reading Labour Law and below these the badge of the Labour Service Group of Manchukuo which features a shovel blade overlaid with the head of a pickaxe.

Fifth Anniversary of the Manchukuo Red Cross Society 1st October 1943. This issue to commemorates the fifth anniversary of the Red Cross in Manchukuo. The stamps were photogravure printed on un-watermarked white paper in sheets of 100 by the Japanese Government Printing Office, Tokyo. Design by Mr Hirozo Oya. A presentation booklet exists for this issue (see below). Any "specimen" stamps or sheets you may see for this issue are fakes. The stamps are 18mm x 21.5mm. Perf 13 x 13½. This stamp was also produced in presentation booklets of 80 stamps (4 panes of 20). These booklets were made-up unofficially by the Red Cross for presentation to guests at an anniversary ceremony. The cover of these booklets feature a picture on the Central Hospital at Hsinking. Examples are very rare. One value 6f which features a Red Cross nurse with a patient on a stretcher..

Campaign to Increase Industrial Production 8th December 1943. This stamp was issued on the second anniversary of the Greater Asia War but the real purpose was to promote an increase in industrial productivity. Steelmaking was a vital occupation during the war and so this stamp features metal manufacture at the Showa Steel Manufacturing Company at Anshan. This facility was vital for the Japanese war effort and also played a big part in the economy of the region. In 1954 the Peoples Republic of China produced a set of two stamps featuring the heavy rolling mill and the seamless steel tubing mill at Anshan. Today the Anshan Steel and Iron Group is the second largest steel maker in all of China. The stamps were photogravure printed on un-watermarked white paper in sheets of 100 by the Japanese Government Printing Office, Tokyo, the perforation being done by the Manchukuo Postal Administration Office, Hsinking. A presentation booklet exists for this issue (see below). Any "specimen" stamps or sheets you may see for this issue are fakes. Designs by Mr Hirozo Oya. The stamps are 18mm x 21.5mm. Telegraphic Money Transfer Receipt This receipt is an example of a telegraph money transfer. These forms could be used to transmit money within Manchukuo and Japan. The central column shows the amount of the transfer (1 Yuan) and the right hand column shows a record number. This example is dated 3rd May 1943 with a cancel showing that it was sent from Harbin (Ha Er Bin) Railway Bureau. The table, printed in red on the reverse side, shows the charges for making these transfers based upon the amount of money being sent.
